Executive Director of the Center for Affirmative Social Action (CASA)

Miodrag “Miki” Marinkovic is a civic activist, law graduate, policy researcher, and the founder and Executive Director of the Center for Affirmative Social Action (CASA). With more than two decades of professional experience in civil society, international organizations, and policy work in Kosovo, his work focuses on community rights, interethnic relations, democratic governance, civic participation, and public advocacy.

Marinkovic is the author and coauthor of numerous research studies, policy papers, and analyses on community rights, interethnic relations, democratic governance, and political and institutional developments in Kosovo. His research has examined issues including the position and interests of the Kosovo Serb community, institutional arrangements affecting non-majority communities, the role of media in interethnic relations, and public attitudes toward some of the most sensitive questions in Kosovo’s political and social life. He is also a regular contributor of analytical articles and opinion pieces to regional media, including Kosovo 2.0, Vreme, Balkan Insight, KoSSev, and NIN.

A significant part of Marinkovics work has focused on reconciliation, interethnic dialogue, and rebuilding trust between communities in Kosovo. He is a key initiator of the Barabar Centre in Pristina, a multiethnic civic space that brings together people from different communities through dialogue, cultural exchange, and joint civic initiatives. His broader work in this field combines direct intercommunity engagement with research and public dialogue on sensitive issues affecting relations between Kosovo Serbs and Kosovo Albanians.

Before founding CASA, Marinkovic held senior policy and advisory positions with NGO AKTIV, the European Commission, EULEX, the International Civilian Office, and the World Health Organization. He has authored and contributed to numerous studies, policy papers, analytical articles, and opinion pieces on minority rights, institutional and political developments, and relations between communities in Kosovo
