Written by Francesco Trupia and Gentiola Madhi, the policy analysis “Make Kosovo Green Again: Environmentalism as a Means of Civic Education” looks at the nexus between environmental protection issues and education practices in Kosovo. Given the complexity of the environmental challenges at stake, we scale down the investigation by focusing precisely on Kosovo’s waste management system at municipal level. More precisely, this paper explores the overlapping interests of CSOs and civic activism on the waste management in the country, thereby shining a spotlight on already-existing negative and positive aspects of the subject matter, as well as assessing new potential alternatives stemming from grassroots initiatives.

Ta bëjmë Kosovën të gjelbër përsëri: Ambientalizmi si mjet i edukimit qytetar

Shkruar nga Francesco Trupia dhe Gentiola Madhi, analiza e politikave “Ta bëjmë Kosovën të gjelbër përsëri: Ambientalizmi si mjet i edukimit qytetar” e shqyrton lidhjen midis çështjeve të mbrojtjes së mjedisit dhe praktikave arsimore në Kosovë. Duke pasur parasysh kompleksitetin e sfidave mjedisore në fjalë, ne e zvogëlojmë analizën duke u përqendruar pikërisht tek sistemi për menaxhimin e mbeturinave të Kosovës. Më saktësisht, ky hulumtim e shqyrton mbivendosjen e interesave të OSHC-ve dhe aktivizmit qytetar për menaxhimin e mbeturinave në vend, duke u përqendruar në aspektet tashmë ekzistuese negative dhe pozitive të çështjes në fjalë, dhe duke i vlerësuar alternativat e reja e të mundshme që burojnë nga nismat bazë.
