Energy transition or de-carbonization of the energy sector is a fundamental component of the concept of sustainable development that integrates energy and climate policies. Energy transition is a gradual process of transition to a “low carbon economy” which includes significant technological changes, major investments, changes in public policies, as well as a change in the awareness of all actors involved in energy production and consumption.
