As part of a project supported by the Open Society Foundations, Hungary, specifically by the Human Rights Initiative, Res Publica has undertaken a study on the effectiveness of legal aid in the criminal justice process in Albania. The study was conducted through preliminary research on 5,152 court decisions from the Tirana Judicial District Court and an in-depth examination of 100 criminal case files. Quantitative data was supplemented with information from three focus groups consisting of judges, prosecutors, and lawyers who are primarily appointed. Monitoring of 200 court sessions provided additional data for the study. Both quantitative and qualitative data were accompanied by an analysis of the legal framework and the implementation of rules by the bodies administering legal aid.

Efektiviteti i ndihmës juridike në procesin penal në Shqipëri

Ne kuader te nje projekti te mbeshtetur nga Open Society Foundations, Hungari, dhe me konkretisht nga Human Rights Initiative, Res Publica ka ndermarre nje studim per efektivitetin e ndihmes juridike ne procesin penal ne Shqiperi. Studimi u kryer permes nje hulumtimi paraprak nder 5152 vendime gjyqesore te Gjykates se Rrethit Gjyqesor Tirane dhe hulumtimit te thelluar te 100 dosjeve penale. Te dhenat sasiore u plotesuan edhe me te dhena nga 3 fokus grupe me gjyqtare, prokurore dhe avokate qe bejne pjese ne listen e avokateve qe caktohen kryesisht. Monitorimi i  200 seancave gjyqesore plotesoi studimin me te dhena shtese. Te dhenat sasiore dhe cilesore u shoqeruan me nje analize te kuadrit ligjor dhe te menyres se si zbatohet rregullat nga organet qe administrojne ndihmes juridike.
