This analysis considers the representation of the history of Kosovo – from ancient times to today – in the textbooks of the primary schools and high schools of Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. The textbooks used to compile this report are those of the publishing houses Libri Shkollor (Prishtina), Albas (Tirana), Zavod za Udžbenike (Belgrade), the Unit for textbooks and learning materials (Podgorica) and Prosvetno Dello and Tabernakul (Skopje). The history textbooks of these five countries, approved by their respective ministries of education, served as the main sources for the report. The descriptions in these historiographical texts are compared, and their similarities and differences identified. International authors such as Noel Malcolm, Oliver Schmitt, Peter Bartl, and Stephen Schwartz, who have covered the developments and events in Kosovo in a range of periods, are juxtaposed with relevant information.

Historia e Kosovës në tekstet mësimore të historisë në Kosovë, Shqipëri, Sërbi, Mali i Zi dhe Maqedoni

Ky raport vë nën objektiv paraqitjen e historisë së Kosovës që nga antikiteti e deri më sot nëpër tekstet mësimore për shkolla fillore e të mesme të Kosovës, Shqipërisë, Sërbisë, Malit të Zi dhe Maqedonisë. Tekstet e përdorura për hartimin e këtij raporti janë nga botuesit Libri Shkollor (Prishtinë), Albas (Tiranë), Zavod za Udžbenike (Beograd), Enti i Teksteve dhe i Mjeteve Mësimore (Podgoricë) dhe Prosvetno Dello dhe Tabernakul (Shkup). Tekstet e lëndës së historisë të këtyre pesë vendeve, të miratuara nga ministritë përkatëse të arsimit, kanë shërby si burimi themelor i këtij raporti. Janë krahasuar përshkrimet e bëra nëpër këto historiografi duke i nxjerrë ngjashmëritë dhe dallimet mes tyre. Autorë ndërkombëtarë, si Noel Malcolm, Oliver Schmitt, Peter Bartl, Stephen Schwartz, e të tjerë që trajtojnë zhvillimet dhe ngjarjet në Kosovë në periudha të ndryshme, janë vënë përballë me argumentet përkatëse.
