Regional conference “Open Data Open Opportunities” was held in Tirana on July 24^th, 2024. During the conference, participants had the opportunity to learn about the Regional Comparative Analysis on Open Data in Public Procurement, as well as the use of artificial intelligence and new technologies through a new tool developed by the project team with the support of Open Society Foundations Western Balkans. This demo tool will, in the future, collect public procurement data from all six public procurement portals of the Western Balkans countries, consolidate them into a unified database, and simultaneously translate them into all regional languages. Additionally, a special feature has been developed that will use artificial intelligence for data search and processing, opening numerous possibilities. The presentations were both informative and inspiring, and the discussions that followed opened up many topics and perspectives on the future of digitalization and regional integration. 

The conference was highly engaging, brought together prominent experts and speakers from the region, who contributed to a rich and dynamic discussion. Active participation from all attendees contributed to a high-quality exchange of ideas and experiences.  

This event represents another step forward in the efforts to promote open data and new technologies as key tools for enhancing regional cooperation and integration.
